There are few free Wi-Fi spots(mobile hotspot) in Japan, not just Yamanashi Prefecture. To use Wi-Fi, it is best to use a cafe or hotel that supports Wi-Fi and electric power supply. There is a shop where you can rent mobile Wi-Fi near Mt.Fuji Station. At this shop, you need to deposit 10,000 yen when you rent a mobile Wi-Fi device, but if you return the mobile Wi-Fi device, 10,000 yen will be returned.
The rental fee for 3 days is 2,000 yen, and the rental fee for 1 week is 4,400 yen. If you want to use the internet regardless of location, use a rental mobile Wi-Fi device.
